The Green Handshake is a tool to help you and production work together to make your project as fair and sustainable as possible.
The Green Handshake is not a contract, it's a conversation starter. You can edit it to suit your circumstances. Don't feel under pressure to do it all - our aim is progress, not purity!
Backed by BAFTA Albert, Equity and WGGB, the Green Handshake has been used by hundreds of artists including Benedict Cumberbatch, Olivia Colman, Mark Rylance, Paapa Essiedu, Helena Bonham Carter and Bella Ramsey. Together, we have helped cut carbon pollution by up to 80% on over 50 productions, including Day of the Jackal, Down Cemetery Road and Wolf Hall.
